Pros

Mmm..Mexico is fun? And if leadership likes you, they’ll send you to fun events.

Cons

Are you a leader or a follower? Most people looking for a place to belong come to work at Power. Brainwashing is a key term here. Sheeple.. sheep-people.. I’d even venture to say they prey on vulnerable vets, again, looking for that community they once had that Power says they can provide. For those feeble minded, yes, they stay and drink the Kool-Aid, others.. well, we get out. A few years back all the VPs were paid 1 million each because the “financial advisors” told Asher and Corey to do so. L O L.. yet they still pay their sales reps and door to door people like trash. Also.. let me revisit again this power vet initiative… a title that James and a couple other “favorited” boys** got because they suck up to leadership. What do they actually do? LOL well.. you guessed it… nothing! James travels the world with a new girl here and there, on yachts and blowing the milli the power gave him + the absurd amount he makes on the reg. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, right Shep? I find it interesting that Power is still operating based off of their cult-like morale and sneaky salesmanship. I will say they do have a good product, but sometimes that just isn’t enough. Unless you are apart of the boys club, you’ll never advance. Forget being a Christian in the workplace. Like drugs? Great place for you here, seeing as management partakes. Including those highest up. Mexico is a place where your eyes will be opened, if they haven’t been already. Proceed with caution.

Pros

After 15 years with the company, the biggest positive has always been the employee-focused culture. They genuinely invest in creating a good work environment, from modern office spaces and great amenities to company events, conferences, and even trips that help build team culture. The flexibility in BT to work remotely part of the week has been a huge benefit for work-life balance, especially with a family. Compensation is competitive within the home remodeling industry, and the company offers solid benefits like 401K and private health insurance. There are also opportunities to grow and learn if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Cons

One challenge is that career growth and promotions don’t always align with seniority or long-term loyalty, which can sometimes feel discouraging after many years with the company. For employees in tech-focused roles, compensation can feel a bit below market compared to the broader tech industry, even though bonuses can help offset that in strong years. Raises without a promotion are usually modest, and while the health insurance is decent overall, coverage for some major medical needs could definitely be improved.
