Pros

The things I’ve found at Power were not things I even believed could be offered in a job or company. The culture is very inviting and supportive from the beginning. There is many affinity groups that do gatherings, you have teams you work in doing team nights and team building activities, there is office socials open to everyone across every department that gets you opportunities to really connect with senior leadership in social settings and team members. Then there’s company provided trips, outings and of course the famous Mexico trip! Career advancement is accelerated for someone with hunger and desire to grow professionally. I was promoted 2 times in 6 months. Continued training and support all the way from local leadership in office to corporate leadership that consists of all expenses paid trips to HQ for high level leadership and sales training. From the day to day to the future outlook years down the road, Power is poised to continue to grow and continue to provide unbelievably opportunities to grow for the right person and invaluable training and resources to accomplish it. I’m very excited for my own future and the futures of those who come along that I can mentor and support and extend the ladder back to.

Cons

Only con could be the pressure you feel being in a sales based environment. This job and environment will force you to grow

Pros

After 15 years with the company, the biggest positive has always been the employee-focused culture. They genuinely invest in creating a good work environment, from modern office spaces and great amenities to company events, conferences, and even trips that help build team culture. The flexibility in BT to work remotely part of the week has been a huge benefit for work-life balance, especially with a family. Compensation is competitive within the home remodeling industry, and the company offers solid benefits like 401K and private health insurance. There are also opportunities to grow and learn if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Cons

One challenge is that career growth and promotions don’t always align with seniority or long-term loyalty, which can sometimes feel discouraging after many years with the company. For employees in tech-focused roles, compensation can feel a bit below market compared to the broader tech industry, even though bonuses can help offset that in strong years. Raises without a promotion are usually modest, and while the health insurance is decent overall, coverage for some major medical needs could definitely be improved.
