Pros

Provided lots of opportunity to develop and grow my skillsets. Overall we're developing a great product that is altering the landscape of what is possible in the mortgage space. Being here for 5 years I've seen the trajectory of the business and it is upward. By and large it has been positive for me here. I find the product interesting and my interactions with leadership good.

Cons

Like any start up there are lots zigs and zags so that can be tiring for sure. If you are someone who thrives living in a box then this could be a hard place to be as you do end up wearing many hats.

Pros

The people make this place. Smart, low-ego teammates who actually care about getting things right for customers. Cross-functional collaboration is real — product, engineering, and CS work together rather than over the fence. Leadership is accessible and gives you room to own your work without micromanaging. Pace is fast but you're trusted to prioritize.

Cons

High bar means high expectations. Not the right place if you want to coast.

Pros

Some amazing talent was at the company and I got to learn a lot and form bonds with amazing people (none of them are still with the company)

Cons

Ignore every 5* review you see. The only good thing about this organization is the amazing talent that comes in and is immediately forced out or realizes that they are too talented for how they are neglected. You can wear many hats in a 40 hour week. Expect to work 60-70 hour weeks unless you want to be considered an under preformer. Leadership/C-suite , is not only chaotic but they also pass their failures onto others to scapegoat them to preserve their reputation and jobs. This is a common practice. The sad thing here is that the product is actually amazing. You think you're going to make an impact and no matter how much feedback you give or how convincing you are when you bring research and facts to the table, you will never be the one to make change here. If you do decide to take a position here, drink the juice, put your head down and agree and you'll have an easier time.
