Pros
It's not often that a new company hits the market at the right time AND is able to gain interest from the world's largest enterprises. While there is always a bit of luck that coincides company success (knock on wood as there is a lot more room to grow), the company's potential and initial traction is largely due to the effort, grit, leadership, and skill of the team at Pointillist. Pointillist is not a one trick pony company than an engineer hacked together then took to the SMB market... a fairly common story in SaaS. The product sat in the oven, was tweaked, improved, built with scale and longevity in mind, found its place, and was molded to meet the demands of some of the most scrutinizing businesses. That takes true dedication and thought. A lot of work is still cut out and every step isn't always bright and shiny on the path ahead, but the future is bright.
Getting more granular, leadership's investment in the people they hire is appreciated, and helps contribute to a diversified and high output team.
Cons
Not necessarily a con for everyone, but a byproduct of smaller companies is that being small and growing, your success will help define the future of Pointillist. Every new hire is well calculated from what I can tell, so the bar is set high to bring good work to the table and help grow the company.
Health insurance plans are good ones, although if the company could cover a bit more of the premium, that would be appreciated.
