Pros

Compensation is fair and market based for base salaries. Benefits are great as well. There are some really smart individuals within the organization.

Cons

Everything else not mentioned in the Pros. The product is subpar. It is not scalable and is definitely only useful for SMB's but the extremely poor leadership team wants enterprise level businesses to embrace. Not gonna happen. Within 6 months of joining the ELT pushed out two presidents, a CRO and a CMO. Bottom line, if you have any opinions that are different from what the CTO thinks, you might as well say goodbye now. After a failed funding round, which we were told "the check is already written" and a subsequent layoff, the CEO decided he's ready for his exit strategy. If you're thinking that fintech is exploding, you're right, but THIS fintech is about to blow up and not in a good way. Good luck to everyone who survived the layoff, for now. If I was a betting man, I'd put money on Plastiq becoming irrelevant before the end of 2022.

Pros

Plastiq always had a great culture of trust, caring, ownership, curiosity, continuous learning, respect and collaboration. A team that really feels like a family and works to help each other. It's also a great turn around story of a business that constantly chased dreams and operated with millions of losses to one much more grounded and focused on building a real business that drives real customer value and turned profitable within a couple of quarters.

Cons

It's a very demanding place focused on driving business and customer value, which could be a con to people who just want a job and be heads down, but at same time energies others who wants to see success.
