      Pros

      Great place to learn about investment banking industry. Mid western culture is a better deal than New York style banking. Cautious about picking a group. Overall a very positive experience.

      Cons

      Typical cons, such as long hours, tight deadlines, demanding bosses and clients. Perhaps, the firm needs to provide more help placing junior people in post-banking positions.

      Pros

      It's nearly impossible to get fired. After many years, the IT department has hired a diverse team. Coworkers were intelligent and ethical.

      Cons

      Unusual that, until after Covid, the IT department was about 95% Caucasian, but now the diversity seems to be due to the ability to lower salaries, and worsen work/life balance. Management will only promote yes-people, or hire from the outside. It's akin to working in IT in 1990s, there is little process or structure. Laptops weren't given to IT until after Covid (yes you read that right), and when they were handed out, they were the used laptops from revenue generating departments that had been upgraded. It was a very chaotic environment.
