Pros

The culture is not as aggressive as other IBD but at the same time it has a good amount of deal flows so interns obtain a good insight of how an Investment Bank operates. It has a really strong position in healthcare (mostly middle market), specially in the US.

Cons

The hours are not great although probably better than in other Investment Banks.

Pros

It's nearly impossible to get fired. After many years, the IT department has hired a diverse team. Coworkers were intelligent and ethical.

Cons

Unusual that, until after Covid, the IT department was about 95% Caucasian, but now the diversity seems to be due to the ability to lower salaries, and worsen work/life balance. Management will only promote yes-people, or hire from the outside. It's akin to working in IT in 1990s, there is little process or structure. Laptops weren't given to IT until after Covid (yes you read that right), and when they were handed out, they were the used laptops from revenue generating departments that had been upgraded. It was a very chaotic environment.
