Pros

I'm locally near the Minneapolis office, but I'm part of one of the national business units, (which means I often work from home or travel to where my client is). It's been about 1 year and 6 months at Perficient, and I feel really confident that I have found my fit here! The people in my group (XD) and my local office are kind, humble and smart. This is a job that can grow with you, and your opportunities are only limited by your willingness to learn and put yourself out there. I've read a lot of the reviews here. Some people sound like they don't love the specific group they are in, which is sad to hear. Perficient is a large, spread out company so I can't speak to what it's like in every group and in every office. But I do know, as an overall rule... if you're having problems with someone or something, bosses and leaders are VERY receptive to hearing about it. Very open door policy, so I challenge those few to speak up and feel confident changes will happen. I've been very lucky to be part of XD and the Minneapolis office. Stand up people who all want the best for the company, and for the individual employees. You will not regret joining either of these groups!

Cons

As a person in the national group, do note that travel is highly required. This is personally something I signed up for and 99% of the time do not have an issue with my schedule. However, to those considering joining a national group at Perficient, know that travel can sometimes be last minute. If you're not a go-with-the-flow kind of person, this will be an issue for you.

Pros

Very little outside of some of the people you work with. FTO is only nice if you have a manager who lets you use it. They did allow work from home, not sure if that is still the case.

Cons

This company was run poorly by Tom Hogan before private equity bought it but the buyout accelerated their decline. If you want to be a cog in the machine, this is the place for you. The leadership is only focused on themselves. They will praise you or throw you under the bus depending on how they feel it makes them look to their bosses. The employees who don’t have a stable long term project live in fear of being let go irregardless of talent and many of their most talented are leaving because they see the writing on the wall.
