Pros
Schedule your own patients for the most part. Independent self directed. Training is good and in depth for intrathecal pump refills and management. Salary is better than local healthcare organizations.
Cons
RN's are losing autonomy and expected to care for more high risk patients. Can be stressful to be totally alone in the field. Long drives and increasing census take away flexibility so it all depends on what market you are in. No guarantee of employment if physician practices decide to take their patients back.
