The worst job I've ever had by lightyears - Technician Pennatronics Employee Review

Pros

None. The work itself would be fine, except the place has the worst management I've ever seen and horrible scheduling/mandated OT.

Cons

Management will mandate overtime constantly, sometimes for no reason other than, seemingly, to make you miserable/wield their "power" over you. Poverty wages for the area, which I guess is why the don't mind working you 6 days a week, 12 hours a day for no reason. 2-2-3 sounds great. Until the mandated OT and swinging you from daylight to nightshift with no warning. If you question their management of labor and its legality, they threaten you with their "Harvard lawyers". Literally.

Pros

Pay is OK, competitive with alternates in the area. 401k profit sharing is very generous, better than most other plans out there. Health benefits are excellent as well. Good bonus if you have good attendance. 2-2-3 shift is nice, every other weekend is a 3-day weekend. Good, easy work in a nice environment - air conditioned, quiet, and clean. Opportunities for advancement. Management knows what they are doing. A lot of very nice people work there.

Cons

During busy times, mandatory overtime is tough. Not enough people at times. Supervisors are OK but do need some training. Same pay regardless of how hard you work.

Pros

Good pay raises for exempt positions (if you work hard). Very good health benefits. Good bonus potential. Good 401k profit sharing potential. Time off is competitive. 2-2-3 shift is nice for having more days off. Owner invests in newest equipment and technologies.

Cons

No 401k matching. Wage worker raises are minimal barely cost of living. Production wage is based on position and not your actual performance. So you can be lazy and do the minimum and get paid the same as someone who is motivated and high performing. Very little growth opportunities. No employee engagement. No clear vision on where the company is going or how it is going to move to the next level.
