Like any sales job, office politics dictate success - Sales Representative Pella Employee Review

Pros

If you have the closing skills, and you can manage to convince your manager to give you viable leads, then you can make some money here.

Cons

Otherwise, you will be panning for gold through dozens of unqualified leads. The bottom line is, the company does not care about the sales rep's time. You do get paid mileage, however it is not even half of what the IRS allows for a deduction. Since this job is commission only, it costs the company nothing to waste your time on unqualified leads. So that is the problem in a nut shell.

No major downsides based on my experience.

Pros

Great product, hours were good, and good culture overall. I worked there for well over 10 years and was very sad to leave.

Cons

The Birmingham branch went through several owners during my long tenure with the company. Each owner had its pros and cons. Eventually Birmingham was bought out by the corporate office. The company constantly changing owners gave alot of anxiety and employees were often left feeling a lack of stability. There is not alot of room for growth and the starting pay is not the best, unless you are in Trade sales.
