Professional organisation and highly skilled team - Engineering Operations Manager Park Signalling Employee Review

Pros

I'm new to the organisation, but in comparison to many companies I have worked for Park Signalling has got a lot of things right. The culture is a perfect balance of innovation and making progress to deliver complicated and technically challenging projects and products. Park is very keen to ensure everyone has the opportunity to develop and grow in their own career.

Cons

Growing at a pace typically requires a change in systems and structure, but this does present opportunities for skilled professionals to join, and bring new experiences and capabilities to the team.

Pros

Colleagues were generally skilled, friendly, supportive. Some opportunity to learn (mostly self-directed).

Cons

Criticism is constant, harsh, and rarely constructive. A general atmosphere of contempt and disrespect from leadership. Zero meaningful encouragement or positive reinforcement. Low morale is widespread and openly ignored by management. The workload is deliberately and perpetually mismatched to the number of staff. Management acknowledges the problem but refuses to fix it. The handful of 5-star reviews are clearly written by the same managers accused of creating the toxic environment. This is a transparent attempt to mislead job seekers and cover up deep seated problems. When issues are raised, the response is to cover up or deflect, not to solve them. The company's model relies on hiring new talent, overworking them in a negative environment, and then watching them leave within 1-2 years, drained and disillusioned. Leadership sees this as normal, not as a critical failure.

Pros

Can learn a few things if you want to.

Cons

Toxic environment, closed inner circle (no chance to be accepted), no incentives, no encouragement to progress, a lot of criticism, and treated with contempt.
