Pros

To learn new systems and get experience in various therapeutical areas. There are a vast amount of opportunities to expand ones knowlledge. also you get the opportunity to monitor in every aspect" Site initiation visits, qualification visits, monitoring and termination visits. If you were not familiar with EDC, Parexel will evenrtually train you. They have an excellent training program that helps to freshen your memory or train the beginner.

Cons

No control over travel, company politics and so many administrative systems. You don't have much time to learn them and there is not much of a learning curve. Also many times yu are thrown inot the middle of a study with know training, not even the chance to shadow or co-monitor with someone more knowledgable. Also parexel will utilize you to the very end even when they know they will fire you. Parexel has fired many people I trained with and they all felt they were set up to fail.

Pros

A few nice people. That's it.

Cons

"With Heart" is a joke. This company does not care about its employees. Those that have been there for a number of years seem to be brainwashed into thinking this culture is normal and that this company cares about them. Parexel likes to make employees feel like they are just lucky to be there. Senior Leadership lacks management and people skills and are quick to throw employees under the bus to protect themselves. Probably because for many of them this is the only company they've ever worked for. This accounts for the high school clique-like culture. The workload is ridiculous for the pay and expectations are constantly shifting. The only thing Parexel cares about is money. The company is overloaded with ridiculous metrics. It's practically all you will have time to do. The most miserable place I've ever worked.
