Cons
Low pay, with the gap becoming more noticeable when compared to senior roles in other companies. Internal tools which have no bearing on the wider industry as a whole, leaving you without the skills needed to move on and develop as a programmer. Infuriating quantities of paperwork and procedures (partly due to the clinical trials industry) which make the nature of the work often very repetitive and tedious.
