Pros
At the beginning of my career training at PPD was (and still is) awesome. The higher you climb the ladder though, the more you are expected to figure things out on your own. Reliable company both for employees and clients. Great colleagues, many highly competent professionals.
Cons
Lack of appetite to innovate. On multiple occasions I've seen PPD dismissing great ideas in favor of continuing to do the same old familiar thing. Patching up processes and systems rather than investing in a more fit-for-purpose solution appears to be the general preference. There are a lot of really competent people in the work force but they're not being heard. The competitions on the other hand ensures to jump on the innovations train as soon as possible and by the time PPD wakes up, they're 2-3 years ahead. Senior management has no vision or at least not one that's current to the 21st century.
