Pros

I started out as a temp in finance, got hired full time, then moved to marketing due to my previous work experience. PLS gave me a chance to return to where I was in my career before I moved to PA. PLS is a great place for anyone that's entering the workforce to anyone that's been in the game for a while. Whatever you put into your professional career, you will reap the benefits whether it's a success in sales, movement towards leadership/management, or promotions. PLS doesn't put a limit on people's capabilities. You do have to work hard to stay and succeed. PLS also has a great work-life balance. Management and leadership have always been flexible to whatever is going on in my personal life and did I mention the unlimited vacation time? Also being able to work remotely most of the time has been the "status quo" for most of the company since the beginning of the pandemic. I don't mind going into the office whenever needed and even going in sometimes whenever I need a break from home. PLS is transparent. The CEO has video updates and if anything needs to be announced, there are memos that are sent out immediately. The laidback atmosphere is nice. Even though we do work hard, we can also relax and bond as a team. I enjoy the social interaction and everyone is very nice. The pandemic has limited some social interaction but we can participate virtually in sports brackets, costume contests, and other fun events. I know there will be more events now that we're almost back to "normal". I hope we return to happy hours for new recruits and more office potlucks. They are always a great time.

Cons

There are no mission or values established. We definitely have values and a mission. Respect for each other, environmentally conscious, hard working attitude, professional nurturing, etc. We need those written out to be distributed by HR and promoted internally as well as externally.

Pros

The Colleagues and relationships you make with your co-workers. Building a book of business, and fast paced environment. Unlimited Growth Potential.

Cons

The direction the company is headed in and the toxicity of an everchanging management structure. As someone who spent almost a decade with PLS; I can say fully and honestly, they do not care about you. This is a company to build experience with and move on from. If you are a $20K rep for more than 6 months, after you roll out, they will move off of you. You will be terminated with no second thought--other reps will poach your clients and potentially ruin any relationships. Furthermore, management tends to play favorites--If you show growth potential, they will feed you, but the moment you fail on one opportunity--you will be turned over. This is not the job for anyone who questions their own ability and work ethic. PLS Hires in classes - they will hire 30-40 people at a time, and in 3 months, 4 to 5 people of that class will remain. The turn over is extremely high and there is no job security. Finally, even if you are a top performer, they will not hesitate to get rid of you.
