Pros

Nothing really worth mentioning at all.

Cons

I worked at Ortoo UK for about a year, and while I was fortunate to meet some of the kindest colleagues—Qurat, Rida, Sana, and Rabia—my overall experience was extremely negative due to the toxic work environment fostered by the CEO, Leon. Leon's leadership style left much to be desired. Despite constantly preaching about the importance of having the "right mindset," he failed to demonstrate this himself. Communication was poor, with an expectation that employees should somehow read his mind. He also exhibited a lack of emotional control, resorting to verbal abuse when things didn’t go his way. One particularly unsettling instance involved him screaming at an employee in Pakistan because the internet was down during a nationwide protest—something no one had control over. When visiting the Pakistan office, he conducted group sessions that often felt more like group therapy than anything productive. These sessions were unstructured, took up entire workdays, and involved him making impractical statements, like advising employees to leave for a 30-minute commute 5-6 hours early to "be proactive." These sessions were a complete waste of time, and we were then expected to work overtime to make up for the work we couldn’t do during the day. Additionally, layoffs were handled with no empathy or prior notice, under the guise of "restructuring." Employees were left blindsided and without support during these difficult transitions. While I deeply appreciated the support from my co-workers, the poor leadership, lack of empathy, and unreasonable demands made for an overall unhealthy work environment. Until significant changes are made, I cannot recommend working at Ortoo UK.
