Pros

The stated goals are to help military families and some do get some help.

Cons

Operation Homefront has become corrupt. They laid off numerous employees from 2016 to 2017 in order to raise the pay of numerous senior executives by outrageous amounts. They use the stories of truly devastated wounded warriors to raise money and funnel shameful amounts to senior executives. Additionally, they raise money to purchase backpacks for military children, then they require field personnel to raise money from other organizations to pay their headquarters back for those backpacks. This is a shell game which helps enable the ridiculous salary increases. $2 of backpack money is donated for every $1 of backpacks purchased. Shameful. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ORGANIZATION!

Thank you for providing your thoughts. I am immensely proud of what the Operation Homefront team has done, and is doing, to meet the needs of our military families and am saddened to hear you feel we have missed or are missing the mark. I hope you can take satisfaction in knowing you helped deliver some highly valued programs to a very special and deserving group of our fellow citizens during your tenure.
