Pros

Great culture/fellow employees, good work/life balance, great place to experiment and invent what works best for you and your team. Most folks are deeply caring, and they especially care about our clients and their missions. Love getting together with everyone at our retreat, and taking breaks where the company is closed 2x a year to rest

Cons

Definitely a start-up/young company - not a lot of processes solidified, but they're working on it. If that's appealing (less hierarchy/bureaucracy), great! But if a lot of structure is important to you, OT might not be the right fit

Pros

I've never felt so seen! The first two weeks were less about the work and more about getting to let OpenTent know who we are; there were some really thorough ice breakers around our interests and beliefs! So cool that a company let's you be expressive in that way. Everybody was so attentive and caring about my interests, which was really nice because they're a little fringe (I'm an anarchist lol). There was even a member of leadership who ingratiated herself in my remote work life entirely unprompted and really became a dear friend. She checked in on me a few times after I left, which was very thoughtful. Did I mention, uh, REMOTE WORK! New York, Denver, and Puerto Rico are all well represented by the OpenTent crew! There's just something about companies with Open in the name; they're a hit! And so well connected with NYC charitable donors :)

Cons

The benefits are nothing to write home about; and their is some risk of earth-shattering psychological despair, but you get over it when you realize Didn't let me use Palantir
