Pros

Great tools - intranet, CRM, Client Portal, etc is better than other companies I've worked for Excellent Communications - CEO puts out a quarterly video; EVP of my business unit has quarterly calls; VP of my business unit has weekly 1:1's and monthly team meetings. Comp plan and benefits are satisfactory Company has moved to virtual office concept which is great - no commuting for many. Internal processes within and between departments are working much better than they used to work. Much of the old (2005 - 2008) organization has been streamlined and it's helping our efficiency and effectiveness (which makes us get our work done and improves customer interaction since they're happier). Expenses are paid on time, bimonthly and with minimum hassel.

Cons

IT support for remote employees isn't efficient...when a laptop has a problem you have to send it to corporate to get fixed which impacts your personal productivity. Since we're all measured on our contribution and customers and other employees rely on our contribution, this is a real issue. I would like to see Open adopt a remote support package similar to what Dell offers where a service tech comes to your home or hotel and replaces a bad component. Sounds expensive but Dell does this pretty cheap and I'm sure HP could do the same.. Home office expenses (not including mobile phone) are only reimbursed for a total of $50/mo - so if you have to pay for internet access and office supplies and the total is $100 - you're only getting $50 reimbursement.
