Pros
It's a decent job if you are just starting out, pay is reasonable and it looks good on your CV for your next privacy role
Cons
There are no career progression opportunities at OneTrust at all. Working here is beneficial if you want to stay for about a year and then move on to a better job. Retention rates are absolutely atrocious and yet HR and upper management keep denying this. There are also zero employee benefits (I mean zero) and employee satisfaction or wellbeing is not even remotely a concern to management or HR. They took an unnecessarily long time before allowing people to work from home for Covid-19. Line managers have pretty much no power to affect any change. They also are very inexperienced themselves and either don't receive proper training or are simply incompetent - likely a mixture of both. Communication at the company is pathetic - employees are never told of changes that affect them in a timely manner. And the HR team is the worst I have ever seen. Let's not forget the scandal they recently had with mass firing employees due to the pandemic, despite previously reassuring them that no jobs would be at risk. Employees are generally unhappy and almost everyone around me was actively applying for other jobs. Moreover, the work just gets boring after a while. Very repetitive and not much leeway to do other things.
