Thanks for taking the time to leave this review and to reflect on what has been your real experience thus far.
I'm glad the areas you pointed out as "pro" are working for you.
In terms of the "cons", we have just gone live with baseline salary changes, and there will be more changes rolled out over the months ahead. We are working hard to make sure the changes in this area and for reward in general are clear, easy to understand, and a reflection of some of the feedback that has been received about it. Basically, we hear you and are taking action!
In terms of progression, our intention is that you should be able to view your ES role with us as a huge opportunity for learning and growth. This means you should have the opportunity for progression. Given you have listed this as a con, it's clear we're not getting something right for you. Please feel free to reach out to your TL , OM, myself, Josh, Tara, Jon or any other member of the leadership team if you want to discuss further. This area is really important to us all, and we want to make sure it's working for you.
In terms of workload, it's been the busiest in our history over the last few weeks. This is a product of the chaos across the industry and the real panic that it has instilled in customers. We are working harder than ever to recruit awesome talent . This coming quarter, we are looking to almost double our Ops hiring numbers, going from 160 to 300 Energy Specialists to hire over October, November & December. This will make a real impact to the team, but we still have a huge amount of work to do. We now have over 100 ES's involved in our recruitment process at some point. You can too, if you want to engage more with how we are solving this challenge.
However, you can expect to always be busy working at Octopus, but for your productivity and impact in your role to grow as you become better, and improve your utilisation of all the tools at your disposal over time.
