Hero to Zero - Anonymous employee Nutanix Employee Review

Nutanix (ANZ) was such a good place to work - I would wake up feeling I had the best job in the world. We had culture, friends and were really motivated to succeed. This sadly changed dramatically 18 months ago. There were bad hires in the ANZ leadership team caused mass attrition in the greater sales team. This in turn caused desperate and rapid hiring of more staff not suited to the role. After the destruction we were left with a leadership team that was unable to: communicate motivate manage lead staff help The leadership continued to just hire friends into roles of power, completely ignoring internal promotions of deserving, long standing employees. Reducing moral and further destroying whatever culture was left. May 2021, there was a mass redundancy. Many good, long standing employees were given the boot. There was no loyalty, empathy or understanding - just a cull of the numbers. For whatever reason, they leadership were untouched, leaving an extremely thick, pointless heirachy of managers who essentially have no one to manage. It's such a shame that something so great, can go downhill so far in a short space of time.
