Business outlook
Pros
Northwest Justice Project offers an incredible culture of support for its attorneys. Coworkers and managers go out of their way to help each other and make sure clients get the best service possible. Hours are reasonable. This is a very vision-oriented organization and the people who work here are driven by that vision.
Cons
People who are not committed to public interest work tend not to last. This work can be stressful, especially for those who do not know what to expect. Clients have many challenges and bring a lot of issues to the table. Attorneys must be adept at communicating with all kinds of people, and must be able to think on their feet.. The pay, while good for a legal aid program, lags behind government attorney jobs.
