      Pros

      A great culture of people and great products. Flexible working schedule, wonderful people, and a great place to learn. I would recommend anyone to work here. NYC office has my heart.

      Cons

      Management is so high up and you feel like you have no idea who is making decisions. I work with the AI team which was new to NetApp, and the people kind of closed minded (they will get it soon). I also had a bad experience when hired - my first manager ended up getting arrested. I don't really care about that but he made the engineers move down to Raleigh for shadowing during COVID... we worked 100% remote and had to leave my family to work remote in an apartment. He has since been fired.

      Pros

      Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

      Cons

      If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
