Pros

In years where the business is good there can be a lot of money to be made at NetApp. Benefits are good and it's a great place to learn a lot in a short amount of time.

Cons

The company made a big bet on it's clustered ONTAP product, ignoring other emerging technologies like flash, which has cost them dearly in the market. Because of this mis-step the company has been in a transitional period for several years now and is doing layoffs twice a year. So job stability is now a concern at a company that used to seem immune to those sort of problems. The cuts have been so deep that much of their top talent was either impacted directly or got fed up and left.

Pros

Amongst the top companies in the data storage industry = company stability.

Cons

If you'd ask me a year or 2 ago, I would have given the company 5 stars. But, as with most tech companies now, they've started to follow the trend of return to office, regardless of logic. There's little to no room for exceptions and the company would rather sacrifice productivity regardless if they know the hardships for people living in metros (one way commute to the NY or SJC office can take 2 hours one way!) - that and there's no commuter benefits. You have to pay out of pocket and live in fear of not receiving your bonus if you miss the "thrive together" quarterly requirements.
