Pros

Most of the people and the mission is great. The benefits package punches above their weight. Depending upon your manager there may be good career growth, or you could be stagnant.

Cons

The CSuite is absolutely toxic. The president, the CEO and the COO spend time trying to either game the system or abuse it for personal gains. I've watched them hire employees to make sure they had what they needed to fire other employees, only just to let that new hire go once they've used them for their purposes. There's been rumors of the president having inappropriate relationships with employees, the COO gets inappropriately drunk at events to the point of standing on bars at events and the current CEO can't ever be bothered to demonstrate real leadership, instead just relies on his friendship.with the president and the fact that Tim has zero desire to return to a full time role. You either play their game or you're gone

Pros

Throughout my tenure at NSTXL, professional growth and development, both for myself and my colleagues, has always been a priority. The organization is made up of hardworking individuals who come together to tackle any project or challenge that arises. I've never worked with such a collaborative team, and I truly value the leadership culture that fosters that environment. I have always felt supported and heard by my manager. No conversation is off limits, and any issue or challenge I bring forward is met with thoughtful guidance, a clear path forward, and a commitment to resolution. NSTXL also offers excellent benefits. The health insurance options are the best I've experienced in my career, the PTO offerings are generous, and the compensation and bonus structures are highly competitive.

Cons

Like any growing company, defined processes are still evolving but leadership takes them seriously. Over the past year, I have seen major investments in technology and resources that have greatly improved efficiency and supported employees.

Pros

NSTXL operates in a space that serves a legitimate need within the government and defense sector. There are also some genuinely good people throughout the organization who work hard, care about what they do, and do their best despite the challenges around them.

Cons

Leadership appears to lack the experience and operational discipline needed to effectively scale and manage a growing organization. The COO has a significant influence on day-to-day operations, and many of the challenges within the organization can be traced back to inconsistent leadership, shifting priorities, and a lack of clear strategic direction. Decisions often feel reactive rather than strategic, resulting in frequent changes in focus and execution. As pressure increases, accountability can be inconsistent, and responsibility for challenges is sometimes shifted rather than owned, creating frustration for employees and leaders trying to execute against company objectives. There is also a noticeable perception of favoritism that has negatively affected trust and morale across parts of the organization. Until stronger leadership practices, clearer direction, and a greater emphasis on accountability are established, the company is likely to continue facing many of the same recurring challenges.
