National Instruments

Is this your company?

Overall I would say it's a good company to settle as work life balance is generally really good though pay is bit less - Software Engineer National Instruments Employee Review

Pros

The pay right out of college is good. Most teams are laid back. The quality of people hired is amazing. Work life balance is generally good

Cons

The team I am working in is pressurised to work more than others but paid the same and promotions are slower. It really depends on the team. Most of the teams are laid back and you can work at your own pace. In my mind there is only one team, the one I am in, which is pressurised so much. It would have been okay to work under pressure if the managers and tech lead were supportive, but for a fresher they expect too much, shouts if you don't know things, and you soon feel that the job is just a dreadful job. Others come late to office and see seen playing games late at night while you are working. So it really depends on the team you join

Pros

Great place to work, wonderful environment and people.

Cons

Teams were let go after they were purchased. I'm not sure how it is now.

Pros

The people and the culture! Mostly very helpful, smart, fun loving group of employees. NI hired a lot for culture fit and that made the day to day a lot of fun.

Cons

Company vision from the higher ups suffered greatly after the pandemic.
