Pros

Decent medical coverage for full time employees but only offers high (very high) deductible plans.

Cons

If you leave the company, they will send you a letter stating they intentionally overpay everyone by one day per year and send you a collections notice to reimburse them. However, they don't actually overpay anything. They also send a bill for the employee to pay their legal fees if you try to challenge the overpayment. They company will also force you to record hourly time records and bill clients for overtime you worked, then pocket the overtime wages and refuse to pay it to the employee, claiming they are salaried employees. But - if you only work 39.5 hours in the week, they deduct your pay by a half hour. They think they can have hourly and salaried at the same time! NTT also reduces the vacation time you will receive during the fiscal year, after the fiscal year begins, with no warning - the reason, they are not as profitable as they projected and are looking to cut costs. Totally unfair to employees that were promised x number of vacation days and had zero notice to adjust/plan for the reduction. Beware, you do not want to work for this company!

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.
