Pros

Hybrid work Positive Mission Caring Colleagues

Cons

Culture- Feels like the main thing is telling the bosses what they want to hear, especially the ED. Some people get held accountable and others don’t, depending on who’s liked more. Leaders have to go along with the ED on almost every decision, no matter how big or small, even if it doesn’t make sense, and that sets the tone. Systems/Tools- There’s no real investment in better tools or software, so everything is still done very manually. It makes the work take longer and feel harder than it should. Workload- The organization tries to do a lot, and the community needs a lot, so jobs end up being huge. The amount of work is overwhelming and keeps people stuck just reacting all the time instead of getting ahead.

Pros

-Culture and management: the culture at NAMI is great and very supportive. My team works well together, everyone is kind and passionate, and always there to support each other. My supervisor is also amazing. -Rest up week: NAMI gives employees 1 extra week off a year for a mental health break -Working towards a great cause!

Cons

-Not transparent about upward mobility or promotions -Salary. We are paid very little in comparison to our workload. As a Manager, my salary is pretty abysmal.
