Pros
None. It’s basically a $40,000 a year customer service job with false incentives and unethical expectations. Not bad for the overwhelmingly high percentage of our population that choose to provide a disservice to people just to cushion their own pockets… I like to sleep with a clear conscious so no thanks
Cons
Selling the senior population Medicare plans that aren’t the best fit for their clients. All so the company can keep getting residuals while you make almost nothing in commission. By the way, all major carriers and private insurance companies are going this route. No longer sales, it’s hybrid and the pay is garbage considering all of your training, certification, licensing, onboarding and continuing education that’s required to be a professional, licensed agent who also goes through extensive background checks. $20 an hour job unless you’re shady and have no integrity. So much to list but if this didn’t open your eyes, best of luck.
