Pros

First class, window seat to a comprehensive, all-inclusive masterclass in every single red flag, toxic trait, and management dysfunction a company could possibly exhibit, saving you countless hours trying to spot them elsewhere!

Cons

It was great at first until you realize you're actually being gaslighted into thinking everything is "great". Grateful for the experience, both negative and positive because - 1.) at least I now know when my manager actually knows how to provide feedback and what they're saying 2.) I now have a strong idea what a healthy challenge is versus what they're unwilling to resolve and then cloaking it as a "pivotal career path" 3.) I now know what to avoid in "fast-paced environments" 4.) I now know what a manager with inconsistent feedback, and uses the time blocked to talk about irrelevant topics, look like - the signs and how to avoid it 5.) Whilst developing new skills is a plus, and being the person who fixes everything is great, your mental health and boundaries should also be priority 6.) Your manager asking you to buy them coffee on your first few months into the role is not a "perk", but a way to hook you So many great stuff, but above all, if you value what you bring to the table, and you want that to be valued as well as who you are, look elsewhere. The problem here is systematic, and unless they look at the root cause, it's just always going to be a revolving door to everyone's final destination.
