Pros

Good schedules, decent pay. Middle management was wonderful in my dept. Biggest hospital in area so you get a mix of everything.

Cons

Benefits could be better. Management could be more concerned with staff morale which was horrific. They came across as "how dare you complain when you get to say you work here". No advancement.

Full time hours, possible Overtime, I am on a great team, and the people there are really supportive and friendly . They welcomed the new comer with open arms and never once felt like a burden. I

Short staffed, Not as consistent with some of the processes but they are working on it

Pros

Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

Cons

The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
