Pros
Mission Health is an amazing place to work! I have had so many opportunities afforded to me for professional growth and development. I started working for Mission as a Contract Employee in January of 2014. I was hired on as a Full Time Mission Employee in August of 2015. I cannot believe the huge changes that I am seeing in cultural shifts in this short time. There are so many programs that empower employs: As an example - Mission's Wellness Program is amazing. There are tons of employee discounts, access to massage, acupuncture, exercise groups (gym access = 24 hours!) . . . You even receive quarterly bonuses for just doing to the Dentist (free!), check-ups, etc. In addition, there are Weekly Team Engagements Meetings - Here you are able to discuss with your Leadership those things that you Loathe / Love, what you need to do your job, etc. Really cool stuff! Talk about the latest and greatest technology . . . Mission is doing so really innovative things in support of best patient care practices. Telehealth - Here they are reaching people in rural areas that would not have access to care. Oh yeah - A "Toothbus" also goes to these remote areas in providing dental care for kids! Awesome. There are programs that help the homeless . . . A tremendous amount of volunteer programs in giving back to the community. I have worked in a variety of roles . . . State employee, MASSIVE International Design Firm (Jacobs Engineering), etc. I can honesty say that I have never worked at an organization that cares so much about its employees and the regional community!
Cons
With Mission growing - largely in part to failing regional systems, there is a lot of work to do in integrating all of the "Mission Family Members". This is not an easy feat - Different computer systems, cultures, etc. This work is underway and is being delivered with a lot of emphasis in making "Mission a Great Place to Work and Practice"!
