Pros

MEG gave me my first job in high school as a part-time digital archivist, and over the course of about 4 years it was an exceptional place to work. I was given a great deal of growth opportunities - and after a few years in college, I contributed remotely to the social media presence as a graphic designer. Later on, I was very proud to be able to help with their rebranding efforts in the summer of 2019 after I graduated, though I had to leave the company this past October since I relocated to Columbus. Millies invests heavily in developing and attracting young talent, and are skillful in providing tools and guidance on a very personal level. They are future-oriented, and readily invested in new equipment I pitched to them. In the many years I have been familiar with MEG, it is clear that they are resilient and adaptive. They have been able to navigate their industry well – taking advantage of good markets and making efforts to diversify into new ones. I wish them all the best and am confident they will make it through these uncertain times!

Cons

I was not a fan of the floorplan of the main office and thought parts of the building were overly cluttered (part of my job as digital archivist was to digitize old projects to help with this). That being said, they began the process of remodeling this past summer and I understand they are mostly digitized now.

Pros

- Good location - Friendly workplace environment - Lots of different learning experiences available - Consistent work and reliable management

Cons

Part of consistent work is sometimes things get extra busy and additional weekly time is needed to make sure deadlines are met. Thankfully the whole team is aware and helpful when this happens and things get back to normal pretty quickly

Pros

- The people on a day to day basis are kind and try to be family oriented - The associate and higher level technical experience and knowledge is high. Although it can be difficult to get ahold of them while they are so busy. - Pushing out school renovations and small jobs they are relitivly efficient at. - External client communication is good.

Cons

- As a remote employee not at main office paper checks are not acceptable no direct deposit option. USPS reliability makes determining your actual payday a crapshot. - They hire people who work in Revit for years then insist on using their people who they brought up in CAD and minimal revit to develop standards. - Still developing said Revit standards when most of the industry has been in Revit for years. Millies is new to the revit game and it shows. - Not willing to adapt. Trying to use Revit as CAD and only using the bare bones of built in intelligence. - Design department is understaffed and undertrained. Calling some of them draftsman is a strech. - The due today do today philosophy is alive and well here, causing for things to have to go out the door without reveiw. - Job size tends to be on the small size and don't seem to be going after or winning many large jobs. - Millies boast communication but internal communication is lack luster.
