Great family feel company - Consultant Microdec Employee Review

I am racking my brain to think of any pros for working at Microdec. No, I honestly cannot think of any.

20 days holiday. They hand out probation extensions like sweets. There is a lack of direction with the management and the product itself. They cannot make decisions and dither for months on end which is detrimental to the workforce and customer alike. The bonus scheme exists but any payment does not. It is reliant upon another department who has an extremely high staff turnover. In fact, the whole organisation has a high staff turnover with over 15% of its entire workforce leaving in 2018. They even send emails to the whole company stating that there will be no bonus this year. What sort of message does that deliver - why stay? On many occasions the toilets were very dirty with no soap and/or toilet paper. There is an apparent lack of care from staff and management alike. I would be surprised if Microdec exists in 2020, either through it folding or through acquisition by a competitor or customer. If you are thinking about working for Microdec I would think long and hard.

Staff's commercial awareness could be better Although basic salaries are competitive the overall benefits package could be better Overall business communication could be better however this has improved
