Pros
Flexible hours for part time workers. Full time opportunities for those who stay with the company long enough. Fair wages for full time employees. Opportunities to advance within the company. It can be an enjoyable job if you have (or are) management with a positive outlook. Weekly pay is nice. Decent benefits for full timers (and part timers who meet the enrolment requirements).
Cons
Poor wages for part time employees (the raises are so low for part timers that after a few years of working there, the new guys are making as much as you when minimum wage goes up). No discounts (unless you are a student, or if your union has negotiated it for your store). The shirts stain easily if you are in a department that does manual labour; the stains do not come out (but the shirts are free).
