Pros
*Give project teams flexibility to operate as the team needs *Has some great clients and produce good work *Supportive environment for employees with families *Company understands it has a lot of areas of opportunities
Cons
*This is not an equitable environment for new employees outside of Vancouver or Victoria. They do have the same chances and opportunities to work on internal initiatives (allowing them to showcase greater variety of skills), upward mobility within the company and facetime with non project members. *Despite being a global company, policies, schedules, and process are driven by what seems to be a core group of employees who have outlasted others. *Different roles have different rules with different perks. Designers and developers get down time between projects while project managers often have 3+ projects with no break in between, support or coverage when needed. *There are no paths to mentorship, upskilling, etc. *Unlimited PTO doesn't exist. *Pay is less than industry standards. Good luck getting a cost of living raise, praise or acknowledgement of going above and beyond. *Upper and middle management isn't always truthful and won't acknowledge when they have lied.
