Pros

I wouldn’t say there are any.

Cons

Work Environment & Management No accountability – Employees do whatever they want without consequences. Poor management – Leadership ignores issues and fails to enforce basic standards. Retaliation for speaking up – Management discourages reporting problems instead of fixing them. Favoritism – Some employees get away with not working while others pick up the slack. Toxic work culture – Lack of professionalism and no real leadership presence. Employees disappear instead of working – Some constantly take unnecessary trips to the back or socialize instead of doing their job. Food Safety & Sanitation Issues Food contamination risks – Raw chicken stored next to prepared food without labels. Cross-contamination – Employees handle raw chicken and touch everything else without changing gloves. Dirty equipment – Slicers, fryer baskets, and rotisserie racks are not properly cleaned. Improper chemical use – Floor cleaner was connected to the dish sanitizer line, contaminating dishes. Expired fryer oil test strips – No proper testing of fryer oil. Sushi cooler at unsafe temperature – Food safety hazard for customers. Flying bugs in sushi area – Signs of poor sanitation. Food left out overnight – Items left in hot storage and even inside fryers. Garbage not changed properly – Food waste left overnight, attracting pests. Blocked hand sinks – Prevents proper handwashing and hygiene compliance. PPE violations – Employees not wearing hairnets, hats, or proper uniforms. Equipment Neglect & Safety Hazards Rotisserie oven door broken – Must be propped open, creating a burn hazard. Grease buildup everywhere – Fryers, blast chillers, and floors covered in grease. Deli case handle held together with duct tape – Impossible to clean properly. Unmaintained fryer grease trap – So clogged the wheels have broken. Cooler and fryer buttons never sanitized – Increases risk of contamination. Stocking done incorrectly – New product placed in front instead of rotating stock, leading to expired food being sold. Overall Job Dissatisfaction Lack of teamwork – Some employees do their job, while others avoid work. Unfair workload distribution – Hardworking employees are left covering for those who slack off. Lack of recognition or improvement – Concerns raised multiple times with no action. No motivation to work efficiently – People crowd around single-person tasks while other duties are ignored.

Pros

Direct coworkers were great to work with. I also enjoyed being left to do my work and not babysat by management.

Cons

Management doesn't know what they are doing. Resets and floor plans were regularly not done properly. The store I worked at has a skeleton crew so I never got help (but was expected to stop everything I'm going to go help other departments/areas). Also meaning good luck to any customers needing help, especially when I was the only person working my area of the store, so when I wasn't there, no one was. Management also regularly disappeared into the offices or were on vacation. Also was terminated for reasons outside my control even though I was told they look at the reasons for attendance incidents before termination. Never got to get the FMLA or accommodation to my doctors before being terminated two days after I requested them. Didn't bother asking for a raise either. I did multiple times and got nothing.
