Pros
It is possible to work one's way up through the ranks. I knew many people who were able to do this, and I too was in management training while I was working at one of the retail stores. Management training was good overall, but fitting it in to the work day was difficult. I also liked the core values and sense of teamwork that the company wants to instill.
Cons
Typically shifts were understaffed which led to unnecessary stress both for the employees and the customers. We were thus forced to find ways to multitask and get things done without sacrificing on quality. When dealing with perishable foods this is not ideal. Food safety standards must be upheld at all times.
