Pros
There is nothing good about this company whatsoever.
Cons
McDermott bought CB & I and ruined the company’s brand by not paying their bills. No one in the elevated tank industry wants to do business with them as they have acquired a reputation of not honoring their contract and paying on time. It’s a horrible work environment because of this type of poor business practice. They do not pay their contractors and are being sued by dozens of subcontractors. McDermott / CB & I is a “good ol boys” club and there are hardly any female managers. No opportunities for women to be promoted. Very negative, argumentative group overall. Various managers disagree in the direction of the company, and as a result, they impede the over workflow. No attention to detail or quality of work product. Horrible financial management. Educated, talented people are not valued. Employees who don’t know the difference between “there” “their” and “they’re” get promoted. Also, it seems millennials are taking over the company and their communication skills are severely lacking. They do not value experienced employees. Management is aggressive and rude to other employees and they do not work cohesively. They work in silos, with blinders on and do not seem to care about anything but the paycheck.
