Pros

Free entry to a circus of incompetence, gimmicks and clown shows

Cons

1. The curriculum for the lower secondary English level are simply store bought, retyped into Microsoft words to remove the watermarks with minimal changes. Curriculum is most suitable for monkeys learning the English language. 2. Senior tutors walk with an air of superiority behind them, They should wear red noses, white makeup and rainbow wigs to complete the set. The educational landscape and teaching pedagogies have evolved from your prehistoric methods, your egos are too far up your arses. It is scary to imagine how the future generations are affected by the teachers in Mavis. 3. Base salary is a facade, your salary is dictated by the number of hours you work for them instead. Falling sick equates to deduction of salary. Basically a "part-time" contract with "full-time" hours. 4. Be prepared to fall ill often, center managers will allow ill students to enter the class to spread viruses and diseases to everyone in class. Wearing masks will not help at all. 5. The high turnover rate of tutors is a tell-tale sign that this company finds you easily replaceable, rest assured that your opinion doesn't matter here. 6. Center managers are informants to the management team, they are not your friends, do not reveal anything to them, telling them anything equates to telling the management team. 7. Parent complaints usually ends with the tutor getting fired, it does not matter what the circumstances were.

Pros

* Opportunity to gain teaching experience and work with students from different backgrounds. * Some colleagues and students were supportive and enjoyable to work with.

Cons

* Teachers on medical leave were at times expected to continue conducting lessons remotely instead of proper relief arrangements being made. * Student withdrawals were often reflected negatively on teachers even when the reasons were unrelated to teaching quality, such as relocation or scheduling conflicts. * There was insufficient onboarding and handover support provided to new staff at the start of employment. * Communication and management style varied significantly across centres, and some interactions with management felt dismissive or unprofessional. * Contributions outside the curriculum scope did not always feel acknowledged or valued. * Teacher performance appeared to be measured heavily based on class enrolment numbers rather than overall teaching quality and effort. * HR response times for clarifications and administrative matters could be improved.
