Pros

Best reasons: Consistency in rules & regs at the workplace. There is a great Intranet describing positions WORLDWIDE that anyone can apply for if they wanted to move up or transfer.

Cons

Marriott uses all software programs, like Outlook, Excel, Word, that are ten years behind the latest versions. This is purely institutional in its intent, and in my opinion, orchestrated so that employees cannot advance their skills TOO much, and abandon ship with their experience with MODERN software. They are still using Office 2000. BIG CON: NEPOTISM, FAVORITISM, and MORE NEPOTISM.

Pros

Department is great! Hours are flexible with respect to workload. Career growth at the company is outstanding as long as you show dedication and commitment to the role.

Cons

"Full time" hourly employees face cuts during off seasons which makes the job posting information about full time hours unclear and is only addressed after the hiring process concludes during orientation and is not highlighted and often quickly discussed to stream light on the perks that do not calculate the negative impact on the factors left out after the fact.
