Helping the kids was rewarding.

Nurse/pt ratio was was out of line...too many patients per nurse.

Rewarding working with children and seeing them get better.

The Managers are very negative. They act like you don't exist. Not once was I asked how my day was going or they didn't even get to know me. There was only a female manager who was very friendly but the male managers are terrible. They put you in situations where you can easily get hurt with the older kids. There is also no room to grow in this hospital. Upper management does not take any advice from the staff. A lot of the staff also need to be trauma informed. Most staff have degrees that don't have anything to do with working with children and therefore these children get treated horribly. I witnessed a lot of staff make fun of the children with mental disabilities or from different backgrounds. I had to get out of there as soon as possible.
