As you know, MSCI encourages colleagues to own their own career development and encourages everyone to explore opportunities for internal career growth. Moving internally within the firm-whether it is to a different function, business, or both, or another geographic location-is a way to advance your career. When MSCI has an open role to fill, we look first at the talented people we already have within the firm. We aim to move people into new roles that are the right fit for their skills, experiences and ambitions while also supporting the firm’s goals. MSCI evaluates managers annually based on their engagement scores and their ability to retain Top Talent. This is a process where we can learn as an organization where our poor managers are and what development needs they may have. All employees have the opportunity to give anonymous feedback to managers though our engagement survey. In addition, I would encourage you to share your feedback with your local HR Generalist.
