Pros
At Loop1, I've found that the quality of the people here is hard to beat. I've met some of my best friends. Even those that have moved on from Loop1, I still consider them to be family, both professionally and an extension of my own personal family. The culture of the workplace is enabling and supportive. It is also challenging. It's a smaller company servicing, consulting, and leading with some of the brightest minds on the planet - challenging status quo and developing to the future. At Loop1, I've rubbed shoulders with more impressive personalities than I have anywhere else. I'm not aware of any other employer where I would have the opportunity to grow and develop and be supported like I do here at Loop1. I love that my future here is challenging and open to be what I make of it by collaborating and driving myself forward in excellence. I'm not a cog in the wheel here. I love that my opinion matters and I can affect change through the EOS model Loop1 operates by. Communication is good but communication can always be better. I feel like the company, top to bottom, is constantly working to make communication more transparent and effective. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to work/life balance and Loop1 allows me all the flexibility to be as busy as I want to be. Maybe I should be a little more self-disciplined to draw boundaries and communicate well so that I'm still relevant in my work.
Cons
Loop1 is not a place where I would recommend somebody come if they are looking to only fulfill their responsibilities. The work is very challenging. There are a lot of hats to be worn, but with that challenge comes understanding and awareness. The pace is fast but not unacceptable. I find that many of my challenges with timeliness are mostly defined in my own conversations with clients. I find that I'm typically operating at a pace matched by the clients I'm consulting. The communication in the company is good but communication can always be better. To be fair, I do feel like Loop1 does excellent with communication and is working hard to continue to be more transparent and effective here. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to work/life balance and Loop1 allows me all the flexibility to be as busy as I want to be. Maybe I should be a little more self-disciplined to draw boundaries and communicate well so that I'm still relevant in my work.
