Pros
Breath of fresh air to be surrounded by intelligent, down-to-earth, compassionate, and motivated colleagues across all departments. If you work hard and are good with people, you will reap the benefits (both monetary and quality of life). PTO is very generous, pay is at or above market. Leadership has been beyond supportive thus far. I can truly say this was objectively the best career move I’ve made thus far.
Cons
If you don’t like being in nursing homes/have no experience working in skilled nursing facilities, there will certainly be a bit of culture shock/perhaps not the best fit for you. Company is growing fast which will challenge your ability to adapt to change, however that is just the reality of healthcare. This won’t be your typical 9-5 cozy cubicle job for some roles, Don’t allow yourself to fall into the “I’ll sleep when I die” grind, you will crash and burn without even realizing it. PTO is earned for a reason — use it. If you enjoy the water cooler gossip office atmosphere, steer clear. Staying positive even when things get hard or overwhelming is the best way to avoid this. There was a round of layoffs unfortunately and in certain departments some intermittent spikes in turnover. Aside from those points mentioned, I have nothing negative to say about this company at this juncture.
