Pros

The job is easy and fun. Time goes by quickly when you are in a service and the color experts are diverse and get along very well. Tips help boost your income, especially in the summer time. My best recommendation is to be part time in the summer and freelance in the winter.

Cons

The first words that were said to me when I started was, "Run Away." I now understand what they mean as management is not stable and the color experts have to deal with the results of management never being there and lazy leads. There will be surprise parties (large groups of people) that were never on the schedule. Coworkers seem miserable and many are planning to leave due to the overall negative energy between the staff and the management. The turnaround is also quick, as I witnessed 5 people leaving (which is 1/4th of the team) in less than 3 months. The pay is inconsistent due to tips and how much you made in tips is never shared- as the total tips are split between who worked the most hours during the two week period which will always be the leads. You're not allowed to have cash tips either.

Pros

If you love makeup, it’s a great place to work. You get to create relationships with guests creating their custom lipsticks.

Cons

Very faced paced with little breaks in between appts. For full time employees, there’s no work/life balance as you are required to work every weekend.

Pros

Direct supervisor and HR were great and helped overall growth. Let me lead without a lot of restraint. Trusted my judgements. I really do miss the support from them.

Cons

it's a newer company so a lot still needs to be done and streamlined. I felt like VP & Corporate did not have managers best interests in mind and minimal growth effort. Really just seemed like they grew managers that had been there the longest without looking into their overall contributions to the company.
