Pros

There are a ton of non-profit and even church/ministry specific organizations that can use talented people to make a difference in the world. Life.Church isn't so different from the other great organizations out there in terms of the work you can be doing and the impact it will have on the community. I've worked for several non-profits over the years. I currently volunteer with several, as well. What makes the difference at Life.Church is that they know you well enough to help you thrive in your role, help you develop new skills, challenge you if you need extra support to gain new knowledge or wisdom, and fully support your family life like no other organization I have worked for previously. It's a very challenging and fulfilling calling where you're able to innovate and create new ways of doing things so that people can be reached for Christ in ways you hadn't imagined were possible. This organization is for people-loving, Christ-centered and innovative individuals who have a God-given talent that can be used in infinite ways. The best part is that there is usually an opportunity to move onto a new or different team if you discover a passion you're better suited to pursue. That is a rare option for many organizations.

Cons

Sometimes we give up things (finances, time with family, opportunities to travel, holidays off, luxuries) for things we love even more. This is a mindset you have to possess (or learn with time) if you're committed to the cause. The reward is far greater, but you have to be willing to accept the cost.

Pros

I love serving at my church through the role of pastor. Caring for people who take time out of their busy day to serve God through LC is a privilege. Life.Church has great benefits (401K Match & insurance) too.

Cons

Culture varies wildly from campus to campus so you could have very different experiences depending where you land. The job is much more task driven than you would expect or were told. You are often asked to do things that are outside of your job description. If you think of it more as you are here to fully serve the church in any capacity they ask and you'll do great.
