Pros

Our mission gives our teams unique passion and shared purpose. It's a huge benefit to show up at work and know that what you're doing is making a difference. I've also never worked somewhere that has cared for and invested in me more than I have here. The culture is healthier than any others I've experienced or been close to personally.

Cons

You pretty much can't succeed on staff if you're not committed to growth and development. It can get a little personal and painful at times, so you have to be open to that. But I can say those moments were never outside of a context of caring for me, and I've grown more here than I even thought I was capable of. Also, if you're not into team-building activities, you might have some unenjoyable moments. Overall, if you're a clock-in, keep-your-head-down, clock-out kind of worker it might not be your favorite environment.

Pros

I love serving at my church through the role of pastor. Caring for people who take time out of their busy day to serve God through LC is a privilege. Life.Church has great benefits (401K Match & insurance) too.

Cons

Culture varies wildly from campus to campus so you could have very different experiences depending where you land. The job is much more task driven than you would expect or were told. You are often asked to do things that are outside of your job description. If you think of it more as you are here to fully serve the church in any capacity they ask and you'll do great.
